1s order of business: cardigans, the longer - the better!

So my 1st recommendation before you make a trip to a strictly prego store is to truly research your jackets and cardis. I believe the longer the better.

1) Just below your belly and bottom is pretty gorgeous, especially feminine with a maxi dress (my other love!) And the less pattern, the less busy you look, especially considering the growing belly stealing quite a bit of thunder!

2) Smart suit jackets are absolutely timeless, slimming, and lovely! Once again, the key is keep them below the hemline.

3) Even a rock star leather look can be quite chic, so long as the trim falls just below the belly.

4) Skimpy hoodies and jean jackets unfortunately look disproportionate to the growing and off center body. I'd personally stay away.

Stay tuned for the next edition - sweater dresses!
Can you tell we're getting over our 1st snow storm of the season? :)

Not again...pregnancy #3

So I absolutely hated my two pregnancies: the never ending morning sickness, always feeling bloated, unable to squeeze into my lovely clothing for any foreseeable future, the wait...and then a completely ruined life flow for at least a year ahead. It's just a ton of stress...and it never goes away.

And completely unexpected, as my 2nd boy turns 14 months, comes the news of another dreadful cycle, child number 3. Well, to say that I was shocked, devastated and disappointed with myself and my husband is to say nothing at all. It was a real tragedy. But 10 weeks into it, ready to puke 3 times a day, having developed an aversion to steaks and a craving for bacon, I'm slowly coming to terms with it.

So this time around I'm thinking - why not actually enjoy it? I don't have to hate the clothing I'm forced to wear. I can make the best of what I've got and do some research on what works best for various stages. I sort of started the work during my last pregnancy on what stars wear in the 9 months ahead, and that's how I ended up with my wardrobe.

Perhaps some day, when I go to get my nails or hair done and am forever curious on who's about to have a baby and whose babies are looking their best - there will actually be a fashionable prego magazine that makes one calmer and proud to be in this trying state.

So here is to a beginning of a fun prego fashions blog that I hope many moms to be will enjoy and use!
